Are You In A Death Cult?

Are You In A
Death Cult?

I stumbled across a video on youtube yesterday, and thought I might convert it to text for more dynamic use.

Have you ever wondered if you might be in a death cult?

Here is how you can tell:

1. Is the symbol of your cult, an implement of death?

2. Does this symbol represent a torturous, bloody death?

3. Does your cult promise you a great reward, but only after death?

4. Was this great reward made possible by the torturous death of another?

5. Are new members brought into the cult, by the use of their fear of death?

6. Do those who do not 'buy into' your cult threatened with agonizing torture after death?

7. Next to the many of the meeting places of your cult, are there places of death (Cemetery)

8. Do the teachings of your cult tell you that this life is relatively worthless, compared to the one after death?

9. Does your cult promise you that you will be reunited with your loved ones after death?

10. Do the teachings of your cult glorify and describe an apocalyptic end of the world?

If you answered 'Yes' to most of these..
I have bad news for you..

Curve Ball #15 - Devils Advocate #2

Is The Devil Evil?

To play devil's advocate, it should be immediately obvious that God has a serious chip on his shoulder with regard to 'Satan', so anything he wrote, including the Bible is clearly biased against Satan.

Remember, in every good novel, there are two sides to every story.

Considering one of the only Commandments still followed today is that we should not kill, can someone show me a source that isn't in the bible or isn't based on the 'word of God' that says or even suggests that the character of 'Satan' is evil?

If you point to evil/bad things that happen in the world, then I suggest you look at this post.

Furthermore, can anyone demonstrate that the bible isn't propaganda created by a fraudulent evil doer claiming to be God, who managed in some celestial conflict to relegate the true benevolent being to Hell and call him 'Satan'?

Try answering little things like this..

Loose threads like this unravel the whole tablecloth of lies.

Try reading some of my others. :)

Intrinsic Meaning

Science Degrades From Lifes Eternal Meaning

I hear this all to often.
People saying that science degrades from nature.
As though, understanding how something works, degrades a certain beauty..

Well, when I look at something so simple as a leaf on a tree.

I can with confidence say, that leaf is my long removed distant cousin.
And, in the entire length of time that has passed between our divergence,
We somehow reacquainted as different forms,

As yet fundamentally, chemically the same.

How's that for beautiful?

Quotable Quotes

Quotable Quotes

"The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma."

Abraham Lincoln
"I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life, I absenteed myself from Christian assemblies."

Benjamin Franklin
"The Christian god can easily be pictured as virtually the same god as the many ancient gods of past civilizations. The Christian god is a three headed monster; cruel, vengeful and capricious. If one wishes to know more of this raging, three headed beast-like god, one only needs to look at the caliber of people who say they serve him. They are always of two classes: fools and hypocrites."

Thomas Jefferson
"It is the duty of every true Deist to vindicate the moral justice of God against the evils of the Bible."

Thomas Paine
"What influence in fact have Christian ecclesiastical establishments had on civil society? In many instances they have been upholding the thrones of political tyranny. In no instance have they been seen as the guardians of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wished to subvert the public liberty have found in the clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just government, instituted to secure and perpetuate liberty, does not need the clergy."

James Madison
"Anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices."

Voltaire
