Devils Advocate
Is the Devil more powerful than God?
This concept stems from an argument presented on
'The Atheist Experience [Ep #680]' by Martin Wagner
The argument goes as follows:
Is the Devil more powerful than God?
Ultimately the answer HAS to be No, if the entity in question is truly omnipotent.
How can anything the devil wants to do possibly inconvenience or upset any of Gods plans?
How can the devils master plan, in any way, supersede or impact Gods master plan?
When faced with omnipotence, either, God is allowing the devil to do such. Combined with omniscience, God knows exactly what the outcome is, and does nothing to stop it -- This is effectively 'enabling' or condoning.
OR
God isn't all powerful.
If the devil isn't as powerful as God, then nothing the devil does, could possibly impact or overpower/overwrite what God does.
So, If the devil can inconvenience God, then God is not truly omnipotent as omnipotence trumps non-omnipotence.
Or There is a huge flaw.
If God were truly more powerful then the devil, then at all times and under all situations there is nothing that the devil could do that isn't out of the control of God.
God would be in control of the devil.
