Do You Hear This As Much As Me?
"Thats the Old Testament, nobody reads that anymore!"
"Jesus' teaching overruled the laws of the old testament!"
Well, In the last few occurrences I have constructed two tangents of questions which do open up more questions painfully - but it dispels their immediate dismissal of claims. I will now share both:
[Some contain rhetoric]
1 - Do you believe in jesus? If you do, then you're aware that unless he fulfilled prophecies written in the old testament, then he would not have been divine. These prophecies are present in some of the more atrocious books of the Tanakh such as "Joshua, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Judges, Kings I & II, Hosea and The two books of Samuel.
To acknowledge jesus as the son of god, you must accept these books which contained many of the prophecies that jesus allegedly fulfilled. If you fail to acknowledge this, then jesus ceases to be your saviour and the son of god.
2 - If you believe in jesus - as well as a holy trinity, then you must accept that [Jesus/Yahweh/Holy Spirit] god was responsible for the condoning, facilitating, and participating in Omnicide, Genocide, Feticide, Infanticide, Fratricide, Amicicide, Ecocide, Ethnocide, Homocide, Petracide, Filicide, Fideicide, Parricide, Regicide, Hereticide, Urbicide - which if you also believe in his omnipotence and omniscience, he actively had complete control over these events.
Jesus did this, if he was not directly responsible [Men did the killing] - then he was indirectly responsible, he would have designed it to all happen the way it did, he then would have told these people what his will was [Omnipotence].
Followed by his [Omniscience] of how it would all play out.
When you combine these two, you get a being that:
- Designed something so as to happen [Facilitated it],
- Did not intervene when he had the power [Condoning It].
And you call jesus loving?
So, you either accept that:
Jesus isn't gods son, by dismissing the Old Testament.
You accept that jesus committed these atrocities.
Heres A Joke:
You don't want to get on gods bad cide ;)
