Faith Healings.

You always hear stories of back pains, or other chronic conditions, being 'miraculously' healed/fixed. 

You are led to believe that its the hand of god, the same god that made your world.

The same god that is omnipotent.

Yet.. You will never see a human with an amputated limb, 

have it grow back at one of these healing services.

If god has the power to do something, and he loves you. 

Why doesn't he just fix it quick smart?

I mean, he 'supposedly' made everything in existence in 6 days.

I'm sure 1 second out of his time wouldn't be too much to ask.. would it?

Apparently it would seem so.

Epicurus indeed had some intellect for his time.

I'm Sick of Young Earth Creationists, dismissing hard evidence, because they do not understand, either the science behind the theory. Or just the term "Theory" itself.


YEC's confused Theory, with Hypothesis.

So without further Adieu,

Lets start with the definition of Theory.

Theory:[thee-uh-ree, theer-ee] –noun, plural -ries.The word theory, when used by scientists, refers to an explanation of reality that has been thoroughly tested so that most scientists agree on it. It can be changed if new information is found. Theory is different from a working hypothesis, which is a theory that hasn't been fully tested; that is, a hypothesis is an unproven theory.Examples of proven Theories. "Theory of Gravity", "Germ Theory of Disease", "Theory of Evolution"Source

This simple definition, is something that Young Earth Creationists, cannot fathom.in their eyes, a theory is the formation of an idea, with no observable of empirical evidence
eg. You witness a mailman, walk into your neighbour Mrs Browns houseand immediate think "Mrs Brown is having an affair with the mailman"The above example, is a Hypothesis based of pure speculation, you saw him go in, but have no evidence to substantiate your claim. Therefore its an unproven theory (a hypothesis)

Scientific Method

Scientific Method In My Words.

The Scientific Method, removes subjectivity from itself, With many rigorous, repetitive tests. I'll let you go do some research, to understand why this is so.

In this picture, i am clearly stating the "fundamental" flaw of creation science [creation science is an oxymoron] Creation science, starts its experiments under the presumption that the world was "created" by God. This is a "Subjective" science, where opinion and belief affect a scientists data, because in his mind, he has the results. He merely has to prove them. 

That I'snt Science, nor The Scientific Method!

Science, starts with a hypothesis, based on an observation, then moves to repetitive experimentation of observations and evidence, then its rigorously reviewed and the experiment is repeated by peers.:

Observation - apple falls out of tree, i wonder why that happened.

Hypothesis - maybe something caused the apple to fall down to me and not up.

***from here on in.. im going to refer to this experiment happening on the spot.. if you want to know more about the Newtonian Theory of Gravity Google It.***

Experiment - pick up the apple, and drop it again, again and again. Try dropping it from different heights, measure how far it falls!

Peer Review - Grab a the bloke on the other side of the tree, and ask him, "Mate, come check this out.. i want to make sure im not seeing things"

[drops the apple]

[other bloke goes "let me try that"]

sure enough, even for the other bloke.. the apple falls.

Conclusion - there is some sort of force pushing the apple to the ground

The Method as stated above, starts again. With better technology and understanding. To try and prove that the force pulls, and doesn't push.

[nb: The Peer Review Process, is scientific peers. People who understand what it is they are getting into.]

We wont allow Nuclear physicians to ask grade 6 students to handle and test the decay rate, of deadly radioactive isotopes.

We ask knowledgeable men & women, who have put most of their educated lives, into understanding the science, and the risk involved in such a task.

Also, if a scientist is proven wrong. He may be heart broken, but you will never see a man happier to be proven wrong in his entire life. Being proven wrong, those saddening gets us greater understanding, and that is what science is all about.

Now Creation Science, works like this.

"We know there is gravity, because its in the bible"

Hypothesis & Observation - well.. you don't need these.. Because the bible already says it, and i have "faith" in the bible.

Experimentation - You "pick" the data and evidence that "suits" the theory [the bible], disregarding what is otherwise perfectly legitimate evidence, simply because it does not suit your theory.

Peer Review - This is where "Real" Science differs. Creationists dont look get others to re-test the experiment under the same conditions.They simply hand them the results of the first experiment and say "here are my finding"

Also, in peer review, this "evidence" is usually preached, before its been passed as a "legally" and "scientifically" founded truth. which means that unknowing church attendees are being fed unfounded and inconclusive theories/hypotheses, which they just assume is the truth, because Mr PhD in Tire Changing has a theory, about something he read online.

To this day, not One creationist/intelligent design theory has been legally or scientifically proven. The only reason these Pseudo-Sciences exist, is because the so called "scientists" jump the gun and preach the theories as truth.

Mr and Mrs Average Church goer, hear this, unfounded, unreliable and untested theory.. and like the bible, unquestioningly accept it as truth.

This Sustained life allows them to reproduce,

Preserving their species, for one more generation.

But.. Ultimately,

Like you.

These animals, insects and plants will die…

But this isn’t the sad ending..

This Is The Amazing Part!

The circle starts again!

I personally find this more Beautiful and Amazing...

Then anything! 
ANYTHING!

That any religion can sell.

Simply because…

I can go into nature.

And witness it myself.

The Beauty that is there,

The Beauty that Always is,

Always has,

And Always will be there..
Science Teaches Me This!

The Nitrogen,

The Oxygen,

The Carbon.

These will always exist.

In some form or another.

Our bodies are made from 
the elements produced
by dead stars


Stars Died, So that You could Live.

We are the universe around us.
And the Universe is In us.

If you don’t realise, just what this world has..

What this world is..

How Magnificent, Grand and Beautiful.

And you feel that to quantify,

Or give meaning to this.

You need to make a God

Then I Truly, feel sorry for you.

You haven’t opened your eyes.

You need not look far,

To find something that makes you feel 
In awe of this world,

In awe of this universe,

You need only look out the window.
